2-of-3) Broad gauge, oil fired, class CWD 2-8-2 locomotives at Samasata locomotive shed, Pakistan, 20th December 1993.
These locomotives were built for the upsurge in traffic during WWII.  Since British builders were fully occupied these were manufactured in Canada, with final assembly taking place in India (before the partition of Pakistan and India).  No. 5527 was built by Montreal Locomotive Works, Canada, in 1944.
