This chartered train from Damascus Kanawat station northwards to Serghaya, close to the border with Lebanon, on 14/9/2000 was due to be hauled by 2-8-0 160 (Borsig 9009/14). However, this locomotive was found to be derailed in Kanawat station and so ex-rack tank 0-6-2T 805 (SLM 985/96) was quickly substituted and proved very capable.
