8-of-12) Brush type-4 no. 1688 departs Loughborough Midland on a down train late on a January afternoon, 4/1/74.  In the background, all now gone, are Loughborough signal box, goods shed and sidings, and the Goliath crane at the Herbert Morris crane works.

9-of-12) Main Line Steam Trust Ltd., Great Central 75th Anniversary Railtour after arrival at Loughborough Midland station from London Marylebone.  The locomotives are type-2 nos. 25 070 & 25 066. 23/3/74.    The Brush works Falcon emblem is still poised on the top of the building on the right.

12-of-12) EE Co-Co type-3 no. 37123 arriving from the north at the ARC sidings at Loughborough Midland Station with empty ballast wagons, 13/3/1981.  It is passing loaded ballast wagons and the buildings of the Herbert Morris crane works.  (A bought photograph and slightly later than the others on this page, but included for its interest.)
